Karen Aitken and I were a couple of Nonie and Eugene’s first guests in their new venture hosting their bed and breakfast in Little Bras D’or on Cape Breton. We want to encourage everyone to make the trip to their incredible mansion. It is guaranteed to be like no other Bed and Breakfast you have ever stayed at.

Each bedroom has a spacious ensuite and a bed so comfy you will want to stay there all day, but you know there is scenery to search out and a pool and hot tub for your pleasure if you should decide to stay around the mansion for a few hours at some point during your stay.

Nonie cooks up a fabulous breakfast that she serves to guests in her massive dining room of red! There is a parlour filled with all sorts of musical instruments that you just might be lucky enough to hear Nonie and Eugene do a few songs together as we were.

Someday the relic elevator will surely be back in service again if at all possible.

So much to discover when you book a stay at Celtic Manor with Eugene and Nonie.

A very special place indeed. This Mansion lives up to its history from the first view as you drive up the long treed driveway, to the amazing parlour and music room. Rooms are large with comfortable beds and claw foot tubs. Breakfasts are delicious and if you are lucky a music performance might break out around the outdoor fire pit or pool. Nora is warm and welcoming. This Mansion is convenient to Sydney and beautiful Cape Breton drives and beaches. Treat yourself to something different and special.

We had a wonderful stay at Celtic Mansion. The new owners Nonie and Eugene, worked very hard to to get the B & B back in shape and have many great plans for future possibilities. It has a fascinating history and is a landmark in the area.
We loved everything about our stay there, the bed, the room, the breakfasts, the pool, the grounds and the surrounding area. A really sweet bonus was the amazing live music. We had perfect weather in July, warm breezes minus the humidity that we left back in Ontario. Would love to go back! Highly recommended to anyone going to Cape Breton, the Cabot trail or catching the ferry to Newfoundland.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Thank you Nonie, Eugene, and Nora for a wonderful visit at the Celtic Mansion! The mansion is so special, featuring elegant chandeliers and antiques, comfortable beds to melt into, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. We loved it and our hosts spoiled us with freshly made bread, tea biscuits, and froendship. We’ll be back! Jo-Anne and Angus Cunningham

Beautiful Victorian home with a Nova Scotia welcome. Lovely family of musicians own the B&B, doing a terrific job of hospitality (and amazing breakfast) at the historical site, well worth seeing. A former coal baron’s home, this was the best of the best in greater Sydney area. Thank you for a wonderful experience and great memory. I look forward to returning whenever I visit Nova Scotia again.

A stay at the Tara Victorian Mansion is a must when you are in Cape Breton. This house is just beautiful. Our room was lovely, the bed was comfortable, and it is so quiet there. Nonie and Eugene are wonderful hosts. They are so easy to talk to, and have great stories. Breakfast was very good too. Also, Jack (their puppy) is a cutie and very entertaining. We will definitely stay here again.
